Townsville, North Queensland

I recently spent a wonderful week in Townsville, visiting friends and enjoying the fantastic winter weather there.

Nearly every day the sunrise and sunset is a marvellous sight and experience. This is 'first light' over Rowes Bay, Townsville.
Later the same morning, 'sun-up' at the same vantage point.
One hour drive north of Townsville is the town of Lucinda, probably best known for the sugar wharf, shown here, that stretches to infinity. The island in the far background is Pelorus Island.

These are wonderful sunset photos! They remind me so much to all the sunsets I have seen in Key West for 7 years, every evening... :)

thanks for sharing!

Hi Noel. These sunset and sunrise shots are awesome. They look great. The previous post is great too- the night time always makes for interesting pictures. I hope you and your wife have a great time touring :)
